Froznovia
I’ve done a lot more writing on the novel (mostly notes). I’m going through a second pass of all the major characters to bring them on part with Mika Dreher & Emma Muller. Furthermore, I’m also rewriting Alina’s induction to take in account world-building changes. I’m also working on a chapter called “The wing of an angel”, which relates to Erika and the Von Kraul arm.
I really, really, would like to start info dumping some of this stuff on Patreon, maybe for members only or something. But I need to know whether anyone is interested at all by this?
VRChat
I’m doing some work on the Prison Cell Block D-5. I’m trying to be as careful and as thorough as possible because some of this has the potential to completely break the map if I release it in a bugged state:
- Item auto-return: You won’t be able to hide cuffs in walls at all.
- Audio muffling for the padded cells: this is somewhat functional, but testing that it works properly is slow and difficult.
- Media player: No real progress, the one player I want to use doesn’t have playlist/queue support, either I find a better player that fits my aesthetic, or I have to code one.
Type66-D Compact Compliance Club released!
This specific one appears to have been lost by a certain Captain during their stay ashore and is sold as “slightly used” (cosmetic scratches), since it is gathering dust in here, we’re putting it for sale.
The Type66-D Compact Compliance Club is a revised an improved iteration of the Type 65 two stage police baton, designed according to the specifications & requirements of Tulip Prison and its staff.
It features a comfortable Katana-styled grip and guard and a reinforced “double tube” construction for enhanced striking power. It uses a gravity-assisted deployment system combined with a locking ratchet system, superior to typical friction locked designs.
The rubberized handle is reminiscent of classic sword handle wraps and the first stage is sandwiched into a bakelike clamshell.
I really enjoyed making this one, and I hope you’ll like it too.
As usual, you can find it at the KDC Main Store (10%off) and on the Second Life Marketplace the manual has also been updated, although it is a little sparse.
There will also be a release for VRChat in the future, but that version isn’t quite ready yet.
Happy Holidays if you are celebrating, and enjoy! ❤️
Narrow Cell & Prison Cell furniture update!
I know this isn’t the update people are waiting for (PBR) but I finally got around to making a mirrored version of the cell toilet unit, so it was just added to the package, and since it feels important enough, I’ve bumped the version number for it.
Enjoy!
Getting near the finish line…
I’m getting near the finish line in more ways that one: The Compact Compliance Club (tentative name?) is nearing completion, but Christmas is just around the corner, which is giving me just about everything: anxiety, stress, bellyaches…
On the baton side of things, I’ve done a solid amount of work, the LOD models, animations, script, HUD, holster. I’m still hung up on the impact sounds and I still need to make the bruises for the Doodle & Strikes integration.
It’s really simple, behavior wise: When collapsed you can gesture the baton around, but you can’t hit anyone (it still does the swish sounds). If you do a hard hit (click and hold) that will deploy the baton’s extension, and from that point on you can hit people with the light and hard hits if they are in front of you. Retracting the baton, requires clicking the baton body at the moment.
The holster also keeps track of whether the baton was deployed/retracted if you use the temp attach feature (and it shows visually).
The Halloween Specials are going away tomorrow!
I thought that I would post a brief reminder that tomorrow at midnight, the Second Life KDC store will return to its non-Halloween configuration, that’s your last chance if you wanted to grab some of the exclusives and haven’t had the chance yet!
The INSATIABLE Straitjacket add-on is out! Happy Halloween!
On a cold and moonless October night, one of the older security guards spoke of a hidden ward, deep within the bowels of the institute. A place where those who are simply too dangerous, too unnatural, too… hungry… for blood, end up stored. When pressed on the subject, he remained silent, clutching his keys.
It comes with a total of 8 texture variants, dirty canvas, bloody collar, and a selection of English, Japanese & Chinese warning stencils. If it wasn’t clear, this is an add-on to the KDC Warden Straitjacket and not a standalone product. (And for fun I’ve also thrown in the mouth texture I made for the picture, it’s only for M3V/M4V heads tho)
Here is this year’s little Halloween special treat. As it is now tradition, this is only for a limited time, from October 15 to November 15.
Every other Halloween special is back at the store too! Check them out if looking like a ghoulish creature is not your kind of thing. And as usual, Patreon supporters can get this as part of their rewards~
HC-03W Handcuffs update
Just a little update to start the week…
HC-03W Handcuffs v1 → v2
- Fixed a race condition during suspensions could make the regular cuffed pose visible.
- Suspension pose spacing configuration can now be updated while the pose is playing.
- Added a prettier LED color change animation (delayed row by row).
Enjoy~
The KDC HC-03W Handcuffs are out!
The HC-03W handcuffs are the latest iteration of High security smart restraints designed for use in harsh environments, such as AION penal colonies, on the edge of the solar system.
Features:
- Front & Back cuffing.
- Loose vs tight bracelets.
- Lockable chaining & suspension point.
- Active time lock readout (with time-release padlocks, only).
- Adjustable wrist spacing using sub-poses, adjustable bracelet opening.
- Opening/closing animations with custom sounds.
- PBR Materials only.
- Colorblind LED option.
The manual is pretty extensive if you want to get an idea of what you’re getting.
As usual, you can grab these from the KDC Main Store (in-world 10% off), or from the Second Life Marketplace.
Enjoy! (and drink more water!)
Sci-fi cuffs in-world test!
I’m almost done with the textures of the sci-fi cuffs. I still have to try to squeeze in an extra decal or two, and the red part of the “hinge” need a little something extra, as it looks a little too plain at the moment. Oh, and the LEDs! I forgot to do those properly.
Other than that there is still the LOD models that I have not done yet, and maybe cleaning up the points of origin for all the meshs to make it easier for me (and modders) to line everything up. I added a little bit of roughness to the surfaces where I had normal quantization issues (same issue I had with the stunprod months back).
The KDC Morgiana Neck Shackle is released!

All done! The Morgiana Neck Shackle (it is a collar, yes) is out, right before pride month too.
I’ve included 3 simple variations:
- Studded outside with blunt spikes on the inside.
- Plain.
- (just added) Plain, but with blunt spikes on the inside.
It is a great fit with the rest of the Morgiana set and I think the studs add some much-needed contrast, but you still get the option of having wrists ankles & neck fully matched if you so desire. And I just liked the idea of inner blunt spikes as a “gentle incentive to comply”.
As usual, you can grab it from my little shop on the Second Life Marketplace, or from the KDC Main Store (for 10% Off). Enjoy ^^!
