A little insider look

Some might wonder about the way i work in SL, here is a little insider picture to show you the work involved in creating the buckled latex corset.

Okay , impressed? well this is the “mold” that i used to make, it or, actually a detail from it. Of course Sl being what it is , not a lot of the details remain once put into 2D. But you have a little idea now on how i work and how much time is invloved in an outfit.

New stuff, KDC hooded tank top

This little release is inspired of an old game, there was this girl and well… there we go, it has a little biker feel with the bug eyes goggles, unfortunately not many bikers in SL.

data disk toasted #3

okay i submitted the disk to a tech to get the data recovered, he say he couldn’t recover much and that the disk might have electromechanical issues… yeah, maybe, anyway i don’t think the data i was wishing to get back is worth a trip to the lab wich will cost between 500 and 1000€

I am gonna write this as a lesson, it could have been much worse.

I am probably lucky to have a 3 months old backup, not everything is lost this way.

Anyway, show must go on, so i will stop worrying about my data now as it’s prolly lost for good. Time to get some KDC work done ^^

data disk toasted #2

Okay a bit of news, some hours scanning the drive with various tools, some a bit successfull , some not, i am hoping to find on that will be able to recover my most critical files properly.

I keep those interested informed and makes a call, if you know any tool that might help.

I am shaking earth and sky to save what can be saved, if KDC die you will know why.

KDC’s lycra suits are out!

After way too long (as usual with me, get used to it i guess) i finally released the lycra catsuits, they have a sort of sparkly shine and a sort of fabric feel that makes it very different of the latex and simmilar at the same time. I hope it will please the ponyplay enthousiasts as i made it with them in mind!

High tech virtuality and system failures

I am finally the proud owner of a z800 3D head mounted display, this little baby is built around two 800×600 OLED screens. Experimentations and tests along as some system problems explain my rather silent attitude recently. I will try to get back to work very soon.

ArmA : and BIStudio invent the modern FPS game

I spent the last two days on the second game of Bohemia Interactive Studio (BIStudio in short) called “Armed Assault” Wich is some kind of sequel to Operation Flashpoint.

Flashpoint was a great war simulation game, the point where it sucked was the graphic engine, a bit old, wich was forgiven considering the game was designed to be played on large scale islands with 2000 meters of view distance (not quite what we have in SL :p)

ArmA is some sort of “Flashpoint2.0” the engine clearly smell about Flashpoint but is much better with some nice HDR effects, high detail characters and landscapes (the viewdistance can be cranked to a spiffy 10 kilometers range) and dynamic shadows, the sort of coldness that flashpoint had is gone now, the surfaces feel detailed and shine under the sun in warm tones, the foliages are rich and project shadows in the grassy hills… splendid.

ArmA is set in a present setting and all the 1982 equipment have been replaced by more modern ones, the vehicle array got a lifting, and the less interesting ones got removed.

They added a pretty nice little training, (wich feel a lot like the one you get forced down in america’s army) where you learn the basic US weaponry (unfortunately no training for the OPFOR weaponry) , weapons like the grenade launcher M203 will definitely require some training…

The Singleplayer campain is pretty amusing, architectured around a system of main missions with 2 or more secondary missions of sabotage or marksmanship wich sometimes bring you an advantage in the main mission if you success them.

Instead of the 4 old islands of Operation Flashpoint, ArmA has one massive island of 400km2 (it is bigger than all the flashpoint islands joined) and one “desert” island wich has some grass, terrain reliefs and one small village. The main island is divided in 2 parts, north wich is in an european style and will remind you a lot from Flashpoint, and the south wich is of a mediterranean style. All dotted of many interesting spots, cities, forests and buildings.

It looks like BIStudio kept their promises and raised again the bar for the best Military simulation.

virtual vs real, and why any regulation over internet is deemed to fail.

When we go surf on the net we have a link established between virtuality and reality, a real human use several interfaces to access a virtual space.

When a hacker is breaking into a system, he is doing so at light speed, trough optic fibers, remotely, sometimes tousand kilometers from the physical computer he attack. If the law of the real world want to counter attack him, it cannot be done at the same speed, and distance abstraction, since the virtual world cannot influence a human directly. So we have to run a hunt in the physical world. Problem, the physical world is nowhere near as fast and flexible. A hacker could literally hop from place to place without ever being caught.

KDC’s latex skins are out ^_^

Apparently latex skins are getting quite popular, i couldn’t get away without making one set and there they are :p i hope you will like them.
