Fun Fun Fun.

After reviewing the prim use of my sims i got a little… worried basically two sims that run at less than 1/4 of their capacity it’s a bit like opening the windows of a submarine…

I spent a good deal of time today moving everything from Cypress hill to Dead realm, i also moved the spaceship near the shop, the slightly modded sky (it now should work day and night) and the glow gices it a quite dramatic effect, moving my in progress house from cypress hill was faster than i expected, and took less than 2 hours.

To top this i also found a buyer for cypress hill so i should be able to get rid of it tomorrow or at worst , end of the week.

Heatbeat

I have been working some more on my new 3D shell, i jsut scraped the previous one, it was just giving me problems to match the original, but i’m getting there…

the KDC gift certificates are here

Want to make a gift to a friend but you don’t know what to offer? i now provide 100L$ 500L$ and 1000L$ gift certificates in the KDC main shop (dead realm)

Control

I started the full update of the ethernia server, it started yesterday as a total panic when i broke the bootloader configuration, thanks to cyberleo for pinpointing the problem and fixing it *hugsss* .

I am now proceeding, carefully to a global system upgrade, to avoid screwing things up i’m doing it progressively, starting by the stuffs the less likely to break
and working my way up.

-EDIT- i’m also going to try to “clean” a bit what is currently installed…

A little note about my long silence, and some other things.

I have, again, to apologize for my long radio silence. There are many reasons i could put forward to explain it. I might not be able to explain everything but i am going to try.

I think several factors are playing against me, first, i am naturally lazy, and depending of SL as my way to have a roof and bread on the table isn’t making it easier. Two years ago, on January i started to make some accounting about KDC. At this time, everything was just fine, the charts where showing that i was making a very nice progression. I think sometime during this year i started to relax, a bit too much i believe, to put it bluntly, i’ve been slacking -_-. Last year after a few months i started pulling the alarm because my montly income was falling like a rock. I still don’t know if it was my fault or the product of several factors. Basically i started worrying and plainly .. freaking out.

Handling KDC on a day to day basis isn’t easy, when i started it seems nobody had been digging into the BDSM/Fetish market very much and i quickly diversified, my past products cover pretty much everything you can create in sl, from clothes, attachments, scripted furnitures and the like. For some time i have kept this diversity, it was mainly because i had periods of time where one thing was more pelasant and relaxing to do and at some other time it was something else.

Now this diversity is what is making me slow.

Most of my competitors focus in a single creation discipline and some even in a single product perfected time after time. I haven’t been working like this, usually what was done was done and i wouldn’t go back on it.

Now i have to “fight” on every fronts it seems.

It’s hard, really, i think i am losing most of my time trying to decide what branch of my work need to be dealt with and it makes me panic even more.

Time is pouring through my fingers as i try to catch it, making inovative stuffs require me a lot of time, i am a bit perfectionist and i can’t release code that has been patched the quick and dirty way, if i could show to peoples my code without much risks they would know it, so for now you only have my word. Same for clothing, my toolchain ask from me a lot of time and dedication, but the result is here right? 🙂

So all this hefty bit of text i’ve been trying to explain why i disappear for months, i try to think about something else, i get stuck in panic weeks where i can’t get anything done, and also cycle throught code block periods and “like nothing” moments. Sometimes i will look at the clock and see that in my whole days in secondlife i achieved nothing.

I need to change this, because i’m ashamed of my own inability to keep my place in the community.

I promise.

rebuilding the avatar

Well again i’ve been doing not much for a lot of time.

My intention is to produce a completely new range of latex/leather products, in order to do this i need to sharpen my tools. This is why i started the mad project of rebuilding the high resolution sl avatar that i had been using … from complete scratch.

Once this is done i should be able to release a new version of my latex catsuits that will totally blow your eyes 🙂 aswell as other high quality products. Of course.

(Yep it isn’t that amazing looking, there is a lot of stuffs not modeled or not finished.)

To all the latex designer of SL … Count your days 🙂

The KDC victorian maid is out! (Finally)

After what seems like MONTHS (well it was months…)

The KDC Victorian maid uniform is out, this highly fashioned 1850-1900 style maid uniform should please to all the victorian/steampunk afficionados and also those that feel house employees should look prim and proper, and certainly not slutty.

Each set comes with skirt and top, prim elements for the apron bow, dress shoulders and cuffs a swell as a prim hat and a filling elements for the chest.

The vendor allow you to mix and match the following elements to create your own maid uniform style:

dress:

-plain black, the classic serving style.
-striped blue, this would be more fore light chores around the house.
-striped lilac, same as blue.
-striped light grey, this tone would be more for a cook or a kitchen/scullery maid.

apron:

-long, very protective, heavy works.
-knee length, good for serving or tasks where you are sitting down.

collar:

-standard style, the classic dress collar.
-standup collar (mandarin), a bit restrictive but strict looking.
-emily (mix between a standup and a standard collar), a bit of both styles.

apron bib:

-no bib, looks like a half apron
-square, classic work apron look
-rounded, like the square one but the bib is made of one piece with a rounded neck opening.
-V style, what i call the “travel bib” not exactly covering, open in a V shape on the dress.
-3 pannels, very simmilar to the square bib excepted the straps at the front form a large and very covering bib.

KDC’s Burden harness released :)

Here it is, definitely not your classic prancing harness, this one is designed with a sturdy leather appearance, heavy collar, plenty of d-rings, a strong belt and shoulder straps, it is perfect for putting the sweat of your very own beast of burden to good use.
And if you still like it fancy there are several colors available from the classic black/brown to the more flashy red and pink.
This harness should also look “allright” on males due to it’s rough look.

Almost there

Not exactly finished but we are getting there.
