Another inworld test!

Things are finally moving forward! This is a really terrible test rig, there are a lot of things that i still have to fix, but it is very promising.

Shoudlers are doing some terrible things to the model in this configuration so I’m going to get rid of them. I also need to figure out how to restrict weight copying to specific vertices.

Deform bones and posing

As I mentioned before (probably) my plan is to use two distinct models for the tied/untied version, the tied version having its arms stuck in place and not rigged to the torso instead, to ensure that it all looks as good as possible with different avatars.

I’ve fixed some UV errors I had appear between the bake version and this one, not entirely sure how they came to be, but to be sure I pinned all my UVs this tile.

I’ve also got some good fitmesh deformations on the chest, And I hope it’s good enough for femboys at the very least. I’ve purposely limited the breast size you can achieve through the sliders.

Fitmesh first pass

I redid the weighting from scratch again, with fitmesh this time. Good results, when Avastar doesn’t completely glitches out…

The bottom edge is surprisingly … wide compared to my hips so I must have done something wrong there. Additionally I noticed a few odd gaps that are probably due to some bad edge splits.

The texture for the back straps is the wrong one because I’m lazy. I also added a few extra edge loops to the front loop, it looks a bit less jagged now. The fitmesh stuff doesn’t quite work on the chest yet either, that’s another thing I need to work on. Don’t expect full breast size range tho, I did some testing and it simply looked terrible.

Chat conditioner update!

The chat conditioner has been updated with 3 new features:

  • Miniscript: When you believe that whispers aren’t quiet enough, this will reformat the wearer’s chat to use nearly unreadable minuscule letters.
  • Max word count: You can now limit the number of words per chat line.
  • Radio output: Failures to follow the imposed limits can now be directed to a radio channel, it will send a message understood by the KDC shock collar.

Face slapper hotfix

There was a little issue where the emote text would delay the slapping animation.

KDC/Ai Armbinder update

  • FIXED: Animation issue: There was a small problem in the armbinder animation causing some unwanted sway when walking.
  • ADDED: Avatar names in text messages now use fancy clickable llurl based links.

Lady Eleanor Spade Crop is out!

It took 5 hours of extensive debugging today but the wait is finally over!

It has all the main features of the Leather variation (multiple stances, mouse-look striking, HUD striking, target detection, Doodles&Strikes support) But it has its own little detail too, every hard hit that connect with someone have a chance to add some blood spatters to the blade.

You can obviously disable this feature, or even change the color of the blood if you like disciplining aliens or robots.

As usual, you can get it from the KDC Main Store, or from the SecondLife Marketplace.

Combined update.

There was a lot of bugs to squash this time and I still have a release to post so I will be brief.

  • FIXED: StopAnimation bug.

I’m making a new crop, with a bit more bite I guess.

I won’t use that hollowed out tip tho, it looks way too much like an arrowhead in my opinion.

I’m also not sure if I should accentuate the cutting edge on that spade or leave it as it is.

KDC miniATM update!

  • SETUP is now the OPTIONS menu.
  • Ledger functions moved to the OPTIONS menu.
  • Now starts in a simplified UI mode.
  • Llurls on the target picker (with 512 char limit checker).
  • Llurls on the pay window (for confirmation).
  • Corrected a bug in the countdown mode detection.
  • Corrected a text bug for the countdown/count up functions.
  • Cleaned up some UI consistency issues.
  • Removed some of the regionsayto.

If you wish to keep your ledger you can simply replace the other scripts and keep the same logging script (don’t forget to set the description of the miniATM to 2 if you do)
