Cell Block D-5
Cell Block D-5 is meant to showcase some of my work, map design and my philosophy on coercive design mechanics. It is part of a much larger, prison-themed map project.
The Warden Role:
- Can padlock cell doors (padlock recess)
- Respawn from within a cell.
- Switch handcuff mode.
- Remove all handcuffs.
- There is always a Warden in the map.
Cells & Doors
- Cell doors can only be operated from the outside, or if the center hatch is open.
- If the Warden padlocks a door, it cannot be opened at all.
- The cells are designed to prevent respawn, rejoin and physics/seat escapes.
Handcuffs
- If you have been cuffed, your screen will be blocked unless your avatar wrists are inside the cuff bracelets.
- Unless you are the Warden, you will not be able to uncuff yourself.
- GREEN Handcuffs can be removed by anyone but the wearer.
- RED/ORANGE handcuffs can only be operated by the Warden.
- As Warden, you can toggle between the public & Warden-only mode by holding a pair of handcuffs and using your trigger.
- Handcuffs cannot be put on Desktop users at the moment.
- Rejoining/respawning will not free you.
Bowls
- Food bowls can be spawned at the guard table, a ghost image of the bowl will remain visible to mark it, if there is already 5 bowls on the map.
- To remove a bowl from the map, drop it on the bowl spawner.
- The food bowls content can be changed by holding it on the spawn point and using your trigger.
