Changing the configuration

As the wearer

To change the parameters of the KDC Institutional Straitjacket, you need to use the SETTINGS buttons. From there you have access to the following options:

FABRIC: This sub menu will open the fabric selection menu ACL SETUP: This sub menu allows you to control precisely who you allow some control on your straitjacket. RLV OPTIONS: If you are using a “Restrained Life Client” this sub menu will allow you to configure precisely what RLV features you want (disabled by default)

As a Master/Mistress

When the jacket is untied and if the ACL system allows you you can access the RLV_OPTION menu

Access Control

The KDC Institutional Straitjacket features a two level access control system, to put it simply, you can define who can TIE the jacket or UNTIE the jacket from 3 groups:

NOBODY: Nobody can tie/untie the jacket. This is usefull if you simply want to wear it as a garment.

LOCKER: This option replace the “NOBODY” option for the right to untie you, so at least one person can untie you (the person who tied you up).

GROUP: Only peoples from the group you are currently in can tie/untie you.

WHITELIST: Only the peoples whose name are written in the notecard “whitelist.txt” can tie/untie you.

ANYONE: Pretty self explanatory, anyone can have access

This allows you for example: to make it so ANYONE can tie you up but only your DOM/ME (doctor/nurse, whatever :D who are in the WHITELIST) are allowed to untie you. NOTE: someone who has access to locking/unlocking can also change the RLV configuration.

The RLV features

RLV 1.17 or above only

This menu let you enable/disable different RLV features or disable them all together, the RLV functions you select activate themselves when someone tie you up. The options are the following:

ENABLE/DISABLE: Enable or disable the whole RLV system. It will automatically disable itself if you relog on a non RLV client and will send an alarm message to the person who tied you up (if applicable)

NOREZ: Prevent you to rez any object from your inventory.

NOEDIT: Prevent you to edit any object in world or worn.

NOTOUCH: Limit you to click/touch objects that are at 1.5 meters or closer (you can still click the jacket)

LOCK: Activate the RLV locking and prevent you to detach the jacket, if this function is not active the jacket will simply send a warning message to the person who tied you up.

The fabric selection menu

The KDC Institutional Straitjacket allow a variety of fabric modules to be installed, the Jacket itself contain by default a Medical looking canvas fabric module. (Please see the section 'installing new fabric modules' for more informations about this system).

When in the FABRIC submenu you should have access to the following options:

BASE: To choose a base Fabric (it will cover all the flat parts of the Straitjacket)

DETAILS: To choose a detail fabric (it will cover all the straps, reinforcement pieces , safety loops and the crotch strap)

Both options will lead you to a multi page selection system that allows you to choose a base fabric and a detail fabric from any of your active fabric modules.

Struggling free

The KDC Institutional Straitjacket offer a mini game that allows t's wearer to attempt to struggle free. When someone strap you in the jacket, in place of the normal menu you will have access to 3 options: -TWIST -WIGGLE -PULL

You have to use those options to struggle free of the straitjacket. Each time you are bound in the straitjacket, the jacket generate a “secret code”, it's length depend of how tight you have been tied up. In order to set yourself free, you have to recompose this code, the jacket will send you a hint when you are on the right track, if you make a wrong move you will get exhausted and you have to wait for 30 seconds before trying again.

NOTE: the code only change when you are re-bound.

Installing new fabrics

You can get extra fabric modules to get more customisation options out of your Straitjacket, installing a module is fairly simple, all you have to do is to drop the module script in the ROOT prims of the straitjacket, the new options should appear pretty much instantly, otherwise, simply detach/attach the Straitjacket and it should update.

Adjusting the straitjacket

In most cases, simply scaling uniformly the jacket (the white handles when in edit/scale mode) will get it fitted for your body, however if you have some glitches near the chest or the shoulderblades, the jacket has an invisiprim that encompass most of the delicate zonesof the chest/back/belly, by adjusting this prim you will easily make your body fit in the jacket.

NOTE: The animation the jacket use twist the arms AND shoulders into the body, you need to take this in account when adjusting where the jacket sits on your neckline!
